Emergency tree removal in Atlanta, GA

When a tree or limb comes down on a house, car, driveway or parking lot, the first job is to make the situation safe. Call us and tell us what you are looking at.

Do these things first

  1. Get everyone away from the tree and out of any damaged part of the building.
  2. Stay clear of downed power lines and anything touching them. Call 911 and your power company.
  3. Call 911 for injuries, fire or the smell of gas.
  4. From a safe distance, photograph the damage. You will want these for your insurance claim.
  5. Call us at (404) 944-1086 and tell us what the tree is on, whether lines are involved, and whether anyone cannot get in or out.

Our office is open monday to friday, 8 am to 5 pm. If we miss your call, leave a message with your address and what happened.

What we do on an emergency call

  • Assess and make it safe. We find out what is holding the tree up, what is under tension and what could move when weight comes off.
  • Take the weight off the structure. Climbers and rigging, and a crane when the site calls for it, remove the tree in controlled sections so the damage does not get worse.
  • Clear access. Driveways, entrances, parking areas and walkways come first.
  • Finish the cleanup. Debris is chipped and hauled, and the stump can be handled later. See debris removal.

When you call, we will tell you what we can do and how soon, based on what the situation is and what the crew can reach safely. Safety comes first: trees on homes, people and blocked access come ahead of cleanup.

Crane support lets a crew take down a large tree in sections near buildings and roads.

Emergency tree work for businesses

A fallen tree can block an entrance, a drive lane or a parking lot. Tell us how the site operates and what must stay open. We set up a safe work zone with cones and signs and clear the access first. See commercial tree service.

After the emergency

Storms often leave other trees weakened. Once the urgent work is done, we can look at the rest of the trees on your property. Read what to do right after a storm and our tree risk checklist for homeowners.

Questions about emergency tree removal

Who do I call about a tree on power lines?

Call 911 and your power company. Stay far away from the tree and the lines, because a tree touching a line can energize the tree and the ground around it. We can remove the tree once the power company has made the lines safe.

Will my insurance pay for emergency removal?

Many homeowner and commercial policies cover storm damage, including removing a tree from a structure, with limits and conditions. Check your policy and call your insurer early. We can give you a written estimate to support your claim.

What if the tree is in my yard but not on anything?

A fallen tree in an open yard is usually less urgent than one on a house or driveway. We still want to see it, and we can schedule it with full cleanup.

What should I tell you when I call?

Your address, what the tree is on or blocking, whether power lines are involved, and whether anyone is hurt or trapped. Photos help if you can take them safely.
